Local democracy reporter attacked while attending asylum protest

A local democracy reporter was was forced to leave a protest rally on his patch after being issued with a death threat.
Henry Durand, an LDR based at the Eastern Daily Press, was attempting to cover the second night of the protests when he attacked and then threatened.
Last August, he was pushed while reporting on a similar anti-asylum seeker protest at the Brook Hotel in Norwich.
“And as I arrived at Thetford Police Station for the second night of proceedings, it was clear that many disagreed with the term – as they are entitled to do.
Two officers were taken to hospital on Wednesday evening, but are “on the road to recovery”, the chief constable said.
