Maricopa open mic wants to hear itIf you’ve been itching to show off your dance routine, dust off that lonely guitar or wax poetic, now’s your chance. The Maricopa Arts Council is hosting an open mic night Saturday, Aug. 22 at Honeycutt Coffee. The celebration of local talent begins at 7 p.m. and, in true open mic form, will be open to all styles of entertainment. Possible talents include music, poetry, dance and comedy. The showcase will also double as an opportunity for two Maricopa slam poets to represent the city in the 2026 All Arizona Poetry Slam Championship.
