Astronomy Ireland say up to 98% of the Sun will be covered in parts of the country due to the 2026 Solar Eclipse tomorrow, Hospitality Ireland decided to investigate some of the best hotels to view the spectacle from. For an Irish hotel stay, the Atlantic-facing west and south-west coast look like the best bet, combining an open western horizon with the greater eclipse magnitude expected towards Cork and Kerry. Geographically, West Cork is very well placed for the deep partial eclipse, although Clonakilty's current forecast is cloudy with showers around maximum eclipse.
