Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav shared this information on Monday on the occasion of World Lion Day.
He further added that as we observe World Lion Day, let us reiterate our pledge to protect our natural heritage and ensure that the roar of the Asiatic lion continues to echo for generations to come.
Currently, the lions' habitat has expanded to 35,000 square kilometers, up from approximately 30,000 square kilometers in 2020.
