A two-vehicle crash was reported around 4:08 p.m. on northbound John Wayne Parkway near Cobblestone Farms Drive.
About a half-mile south, the traffic signal at John Wayne Parkway and Smith-Enke Road went out.
Officers directed traffic while crews worked to restore the signal, helping keep traffic moving as southbound rush-hour traffic increases.
