The national fried chicken chain temporarily closed the restaurant following a food hygiene inspection on June 29.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) currently lists the restaurant with a hygiene rating of zero.
The inspection found that ‘major improvement’ was needed in the management of food safety and in the cleanliness and condition of the premises.
“Slim Chickens is committed to the highest food safety standards and this particular restaurant was awarded a five-star hygiene rating in April 2026,” a Slim Chickens spokesperson says.
Businesses in Wales are legally required to display their food hygiene rating prominently at their premises.
