H-E-B is expanding its Fresh Initiatives remodeling program to 10 additional locations in multiple Texas markets in the coming months, according to local reports. The Fresh Initiatives program includes the installation of both front-of-house fixtures where its Meal Simple hot prepared foods are displayed as well as back-of-house equipment upgrades, according to a report on MySanAntonio.com. The latest plans follow previous reports that H-E-B was stepping up the rollout of the Fresh Initiatives remodels to locations across the state this year. “For the most part, these minor remodels involve equipment upgrades.” Altogether, 70 H-E-B locations have either received the Fresh Initiatives upgrades or are scheduled to receive them in the coming months.
