Former Mayo sharpshooter Conor Mortimer’s debut in the Kildare JFC at the weekend ended in a heavy defeat. Ardclough withdrew from Division 4 of the League in April, so the result didn’t come as a huge surprise. His previous clubs include his native Shrule-Glencorrib and Parnells in Dublin, while he has managed Monasterevin in Kildare and also coached Kilbride in the Meath SFC.
