The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro (Max) were spared from Apple’s major price hike in June.
4 Reviews ← exclude selected types ← exclude selected tagsThe Apple iPhone 17 ($725 on Amazon), the iPhone Air, and the iPhone 17 Pro (Max) still cost the same in the Apple Store today as they did at their launch in September 2025.
However, given that Apple is reportedly currently having difficulty securing sufficient RAM for the production of the iPhone 18 Pro (Max) and the iPhone Ultra, it would not be surprising if Apple cut production of the iPhone 17 series to allocate available resources to the next-generation flagship.
A price increase could also help offset the price hike for the iPhone 18 Pro, as according to one analyst’s estimates, even the most affordable iPhone 18 Pro could cost $1,399, up from the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099.
Since Apple is expected to launch only the more expensive iPhone 18 Pro in September, with the more affordable iPhone 18 not coming out until spring 2027, a price increase might be inevitable, at least for the base model.
