Map celebrating women-owned hospitality businesses reaches one thousand pins

The map, which launched in July, was created to increase the visibility of female-owned hospitality businesses and bring venues from across the UK together in one public guide.
Chef Sally Abé, who recently opened Hackney restaurant Teal by Sally Abé, and Kayla Lawrie said the idea came after they found there was no single place where they could see female-owned hospitality businesses across the country.
The map includes restaurants, pubs, bars, cafés and bakeries, with each venue marked by a pin.
The pair said the map was designed for people looking to support female-owned businesses and “book tables with a little more intention”, while highlighting the women behind those businesses.
“We’re excited to put the map in the hands of the industry and diners but even more excited about the potential it creates to do even more.”
