Carlos Quijon Jr appointed chief curator of CCP’s Contemporary Art Museum

Courtesy Cultural Center of the Philippines, ManilaThe Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Manila, has appointed Carlos Quijon Jr as chief curator of its contemporary art museum.
The centre, which has been under renovation since 2021, is scheduled to reopen next year.
Quijon is an art historian, curator and critic based between Manila and New York.
For the past two years he has been the inaugural C-MAP (Contemporary and Modern Art Perspectives) research fellow for Southeast and East Asia at MoMA, New York.
‘The goal is to strengthen the place of the CCP in national and regional conversations around contemporary art.’
