Anyone building a gaming PC themselves should not blindly trust the specifications provided by case manufacturers. Noctua has conducted its own measurements and found over 50 instances in which a fan does not fit into a case, even though the manufacturer’s specifications list it as compatible. According to Noctua, however, buyers should not blindly rely on the specifications provided by case manufacturers. In far more cases, case manufacturers also specify dimensions that are too small. Noctua has measured over 100 case models to date and found errors in the advertised dimensions for 56 of them.
