Parkside Apartments open in MurfreesboroThe Tennessee Housing Development Agency and the Murfreesboro Housing Authority have opened Parkside Apartments, a new affordable housing development in Murfreesboro financed through a combination of state tax credits, grants and private lending.
THDA supported the project through $10.5 million in equity generated by low-income housing tax credits and a $600,000 grant from the Tennessee Housing Trust Fund.
Nashville inventory climbs; prices edge lowerThe Nashville-area housing market continued to add inventory in July while asking prices slipped modestly, according to Realtor.com’s latest monthly housing report.
About 21% of active listings included a price reduction, though that was down 3.3 percentage points from last July, suggesting fewer Nashville sellers are cutting prices despite a growing supply of homes.
Nationally, Realtor.com says the housing market is following a typical seasonal slowdown rather than a sharp downturn.
