Sorin Oswell previously pleaded guilty to possession of indecent images of children between August 14, 2024 and March 3, 2025 in Clydebank. He returned to Dumbarton Sheriff Court on July 28 for sentencing and was said to be "looking to return to Dublin". Sheriff John McElroy KC imposed a curfew for him to stay at his current home in Park Court from 7pm to 7am until September 13. The 34-year-old will also be under supervision for two years, with that being transferred to the Republic of Ireland. Oswell will be on the sex offenders register for those two years, with a number of strict requirements set out by social workers.
