According to the Environment Agency, Wessex, including Dorset, is now officially in drought. Those parts of Dorset covered by South West Water are already under a hosepipe ban. Worse we could once again see a hot summer followed by a wet winter, as we saw last year, resulting in devastating flooding across West Dorset. I introduced amendments to the Railway Bill to make the new nationalised rail companies have to contribute to our climate goals.
