NOTE: The Downtown Farmers Market is slated for August 8 on 17th Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The annual Community Action of Laramie County Cheyenne Farmer's Market kick off on August 8 on 17th Street before moving to Frontier Park. The quality of some of the peaches at the market (as one example) can be exceptionally good-root vegetables, including radishes, carrots, and onions. Former Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Executive Director Shane Smith was one of the original founders of the Farmer's Market in Cheyenne. Smith also said it’s important to understand that just because something is on sale at a farmer’s market doesn’t mean it’s fresh from the farm.
