The North Dakota Department of Transportation is seeking public comments on proposed changes to the 2026-29 State Transportation Improvement Program that would add five previously unpublished projects for 2026. DBAT Baseball Franchise Coming To Williston, North DakotaThe proposed projects include widening and overlaying North Dakota Highway 31 from Interstate 94 to Hannover at an estimated cost of $21.3 million and performing full-depth reclamation and overlay work on North Dakota Highway 49 from the South Dakota state line to New Leipzig at an estimated $18.55 million. Other proposed projects include installing lighting at the U.S. Highway 83 and North Dakota Highway 37 intersection for $820,000, constructing a stream mitigation bank in McKenzie County for $2.1 million, and upgrading overhead signs at various locations statewide for $1.63 million.
