This year's fiesta, themed Sky's The Limit, featured five mass ascents, almost 400 balloon flights, two Nightglows and three world record attempts. Among the balloons making their Bristol debut were Pasture, Chery, Send My Bag's giant suitcase balloon and Google's Gemini balloon. Bristol International Balloon Fiesta executive director Ben Hardy said: "It has been an exceptional year for flying, for partnerships, for public support and for the stars of show, the balloonists. "We are so grateful to Bristol City Council for granting us use of our home, Ashton Court Estate, and all our partners and sponsors. The fiesta remains free to attend and is now in the third year of a five-year strategy aimed at securing its long-term future.
