Jacksonville - A graveside service for Darlene Alexander, 91, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Atoy Cemetery in Rusk. Darlene was born on January 13, 1935, in Ennis, to Dawson A. and Clara Belle (Young) Fritz and passed away on August 10, 2026, in Jacksonville. Her days were full, her heart was warm, and she cherished the people and places that made her life sweet. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Alexander; parents; three children; and 5 siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry Wofford and wife, Pat; Cynthia Goff and husband, Steve; and Debbie Smith and husband, Corey; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
