WILLMAR — The Willmar Police Department was dispatched at 8:12 a.m. Friday to the 400 block of Benson Avenue Southwest for a vehicle that had driven into a building, according to a news release from the Willmar Police Department. While attempting to park, a 23-year-old woman drove a white 2017 Ford Explorer through a large display window and was inside the building, according to the news release from Capt. ADVERTISEMENTBoth the vehicle and the building sustained substantial damage and the driver was taken to CentraCare — Rice Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Willmar Municipal Utilities was contacted to repair a downed light pole, according to the news release. The Willmar Police Department was assisted by the Willmar Fire Department, CentraCare Ambulance and Willmar Municipal Utilities.
