Procore Technologies has agreed to acquire DroneDeploy for approximately $845 million in cash, the construction management software provider announced this week. The deal would bring DroneDeploy's aerial and ground reality capture platform, along with its robotics capabilities, into Procore's software. DroneDeploy's platform is used on more than three million job sites in over 180 countries, according to the announcement. He said joining Procore would let DroneDeploy continue developing its aerial and ground capture products while expanding its AI and robotics investments. Goldman Sachs is advising Procore on the deal, while Citi is advising DroneDeploy.
