North Somerset Council has provided an update on its programme to replace damaged and faded red bags. People can instead swap damaged bags free of charge at a number of "Drop & Swap" events. A spokesperson for North Somerset Council said: "We have started a programme to replace all damaged and faded red bags across the district. In June, North Somerset Council launched a programme to replace worn and faded recycling bags. The council said replacement bags will continue to be rolled out across North Somerset until spring 2027.
