BHOPAL: Nine people including two children and six women were on Monday killed when the car they were travelling in, was swept away in a flooded stream in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district. Later, the car was fished out of the water with the help of a crane, leading to recovery of all nine bodies. Major rivers such as Narmada, Betwa, Kalisingh, Ghoda Pachad were on spate due to incessant rains over the past 72 hours. While a bridge in Sehore district was washed away, a bridge in Raisen district was under eight feet deep water, cutting off at least two dozen villages from the mainland. The Met office has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in 21 districts in the state in the coming 48 hours.
