YouTube Increased Monetisation Criteria, Check New Milestone For Videos And ShortsVideo streaming platform YouTube has increased the watch hour milestone for channel monetisation for new creators; now, the new users have to hit 8,000 hours of watch time to get eligible for monitisation whereas 1000 subscriber limit remains the same. The company has increased the eligibility criteria; the platform has doubled the watch hours for video than before, as well as more YouTube Shorts views. Before, the new update eligibility criteria were 4000 watch hours or 10 million Shorts views. YouTube Shorts Monetisation New CriteriaThe company has also rolled out a new guideline that will also impact existing creators with YPP. However, their earnings from YouTube Shorts will only resume once they hit 10 million views again.
