Plans are taking shape to redevelop the former cattle market square and gatehouse in St Ives into a modern neighbourhood featuring residential and community facilities. The scheme would be developed in collaboration with Huntingdonshire District Council and Capital & Centric. The surrounding area in St Ives is currently home to a bus station and large car park. A spokesman for the developer said: "We’re working with Huntingdonshire District Council to breathe new life into the old cattle market square and gatehouse in St Ives. "I'd encourage anyone from Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives, and anyone else who is interested in these plans, to go along and have their say."
