The football world sadly lost Kevin Keegan today at the age of 75.
Amongst Irish football fans, he will always be remembered for a scrap with Johnny Giles in the 1974 Charity Shield, which happened right in the middle of Brian Clough's ill-fated 44 -day stint as Leeds United manager.
The 1974 Charity Shield was contested between Brian Clough's Leeds United and Bob Paisley's Liverpool, and neither team was particularly fond of each other.
The previous year saw Leeds claim the league title, while Liverpool took the FA Cup, so the Charity Shield was always bound to be a feisty affair.
