The group stage will kick off on Wednesday as 28 teams will join the quartet coming from the Last Chance Qualifier.
Two Last Chance Qualifier teams landed in Group AThe organizers of the Esports World Cup unveiled the group distribution for the $2 million main event shortly after the final four teams were determined through the Last Chance Qualifier.
The 32 participating teams have been seeded into four groups of eight based on their placing on the July edition of Valve Regional Standings.
That has notably turned out with two of the four Last Chance Qualifier teams, BIG and JiJieHao, landing in Group A thanks to BIG's standing ahead of several teams who had been directly invited to the event as of the previous month's VRS.
The top four teams from each group will move on to the single-elimination playoffs, taking place from August 19-23 and culminating with the grand final in the Accor Arena.
