FLYNN Taylor hit an unbeaten 93 as Droitwich Spa CC moved into the promotion spots with a thrilling four-wicket win against Halesowen 2nds. Taylor finished seven runs shy of a century at St Peter’s Playing Fields to inspire the home side to victory with just over two overs remaining. That came after Halesowen closed on 250-8 from their 50 overs only for Spa to reach 252-6 in 47.5 overs. Greening (1-35) removed Butler with the latter five runs shy of a half-ton which left Spa on 90-4. And Halesowen ran out Young (9) as Neil Fletcher (21) added useful runs before departing with Spa on 156-6.
