After 18-day search, Milo is back home in Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES — At about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, Jessica Frentress' dog, Buddy, wouldn't stop barking outside their home on County Road 141 in Detroit Lakes.
After roughly 40 minutes of encouraging Milo to return to his arms in Frentress' yard that morning, Castellon said Milo finally did.
Throughout Milo's disappearance, Castellon and Mois said, the Detroit Lakes community stepped up.
"That's the real inspiring part of the story — how much the Detroit Lakes community helped us so willingly," Mois said.
The Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital found Milo's femur had broken cleanly into two pieces.
