Global FinTech funding fell sharply this week, with 15 deals raising a combined $673 million, according to FinTech Global. Travel protection FinTech Faye raised $50 million in Series C funding, bringing its total funding to $100 million. Other notable deals included $50 million raised by cybersecurity company inforcer, $40 million secured by stablecoin infrastructure provider Yellow Card and $30 million raised by financial management platform Ambrook. Recent industry research found that global FinTech funding increased 34% quarter-on-quarter, rising from $19.8 billion to $23 billion, while the United States accounted for 47% of global FinTech deal activity during the second quarter. While the $673 million raised this week represents a substantial weekly slowdown, continued investment in these sectors suggests that demand for technology-driven financial services remains strong.
