Karimnagar:BJP Vemulawada town president Pratapa Ramakrishna has demanded that the government issue a whitepaper on the ongoing development works at the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada.
Ramakrishna said authorities had initially stated that only the kotilingalu would be removed as part of the development works.
He said it had now been decided to increase the height of the sanctum as it was not visible because of slabs laid around it.
He said the BJP was not opposed to development of the temple but would not remain silent if the sanctum was touched.
He also alleged irregularities in the temple development works.
