Grafham Water Sailing Club is opening its doors on Wednesday August 12 for the partial solar eclipse, which will be visible across the UK. Some countries including Greenland, Iceland and Spain will witness a total solar eclipse. In a post to social media, Grafham Water Sailing Club said that their bar will be open from 6pm and a barbecue will be available for those that book in advance. A limited amount of special eclipse sunglasses can be purchased at £3 per pair from the Sailing Club Office. According to government advice, watching the solar eclipse directly is dangerous as the sun appears dimmer than usual which makes it easier to look at directly.
