Another year of celebration in Lyme Regis has drawn to a close after thousands have enjoyed a week of family fun, live music and food and drink, celebrating the best the coastal town has to offer. READ MORE Lyme Regis Carnival and Regatta 2026 - all you need to know | Bridport and Lyme Regis NewsLast night, at around 8pm, the carnival procession got underway with local businesses, community groups and charities turning out in their best costumes to parade through town from Pound Street to the Cobb Square. Mayor of Lyme Regis, Cllr Philip Evans joined the procession, riding through in a vintage car alongside Mayoress Jackie Evans. Since its inception 22 years ago £267,459 have been raised for a variety of local good causes. Following Carnival Week 2025, Lyme Regis Carnival and Regatta Committee shared grants totalling in excess of £33,244 to 31 causes in the local community.
