The Wheaton Police Department released its weekly arrest and crime report for the period of July 20 through July 26, detailing several arrests and incidents across the city. Among those arrested was Daveon Givens, age 24, of Buffalo Grove. Givens was taken into custody in Buffalo Grove on July 25 at 3:32 p.m. on charges including warrant, aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated unlawful use of weapon, and aggravated fleeing and eluding. He received a notice to appear (NTA) and was discharged about half an hour later. The report encourages anyone with information about these or other crimes to submit anonymous tips through ACT via text message or email by visiting the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department website.
