Mental health is increasingly being recognised as an important part of occupational safety and health.
The discussions also reflected growing international attention to psychosocial working conditions, including the 2026 World Day for Safety and Health at Work theme, “Healthy Psychosocial Working Environments.”
They also explored practical resources that can support workplace mental health initiatives, including tools developed by Thailand’s Department of Mental Health.
One of the tools introduced was the Mental Health Check-in, a free online self-assessment resource that can be used by individuals and organisations to identify potential mental health concerns and encourage early support.
Integrating mental health into workplace safety policies can help employers take a more comprehensive approach to employee well-being.
