It has been a very sports-focused few months with schools cheering on our very own former pupil John McGinn and his Scotland national teammates in the World Cup, then straight into Commonwealth Games excitement, where West Dunbartonshire was also represented thanks to Renton boxer Caitlin Rainey. I was delighted to hear about the excellent exam results achieved by our young people once again this year. Behind every success story is a great deal of hard work from pupils, teachers, support staff and families. For the 2026/27 academic year, learners will have access to an extensive range of pathways, including 20 National 3 courses, 38 National 4 courses, 48 National 5 courses, 43 Higher courses and 15 Advanced Higher courses. Alongside these are 33 National Progression Awards, nine Skills for Work courses, eight Foundation Apprenticeships and a further 10 specialised courses.
