Cambodia is strengthening its workforce for the digital and industrial economy after 50 technical and vocational education and training (TVET) instructors and technical professionals completed advanced training in industrial automation and digital construction in China. The initiative brought together Cambodian TVET instructors for two specialized programmes: Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programming and Application Training, and Digital Construction Training. It forms part of broader efforts to strengthen digital and industrial skills in Cambodia and ensure that technical education keeps pace with changing labour market requirements. This knowledge transfer could help expand access to industrial automation and digital construction skills across the national TVET system. The development of digital and industrial skills in Cambodia is increasingly important as the country pursues digitalization, industrial modernization and greener economic growth.
