Elkhart, Texas - Reba Jo Whitley, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, the 24th day of July 2026, at the age of 91. On the 12th day of August 1952, Mrs. Whitley married the love of her life, Billie Whitley, beginning a beautiful journey of shared love and family that spanned decades. Mrs. Whitley was known by all as a remarkably sweet lady whose warmth and kindness brightened every room she entered. Outside of work and church, Mrs. Whitley loved the simple pleasures of life. Mrs. Whitley is preceded in death by her parents John and Florence Gunnels, husband Billie Whitley, and her brother, John Dawson Gunnels.
