Palestine, Texas - Clifton "Rudy" Ray, 75, of Palestine, Texas, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 27, 2026He was born June 28, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Clifton R. Ray and Betty M. Ray. Long before he stood behind a pulpit, Rudy voluntarily climbed on the backs of bulls. He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni M. Ray; his daughter, Grace Ann Ray; his parents, Clifton R. and Betty M. Ray; and his sister, Sandy Hackney, and her husband, Dick. Funeral services will follow Saturday, August 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, with graveside services at the Ray Family Cemetery in Bois d'Arc, Texas. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: Cole Evans, Jace Bolt, Dylan Bolt, Hunter Evans, Peyton Evans and Ashlyn Bolt.
