Nintendo reported quarterly revenue of ¥517.8 billion (approximately $4.46 billion CAD), comfortably ahead of analyst estimates of ¥444.96 billion (roughly $3.84 billion CAD). During the quarter, Nintendo sold 3.82 million Switch 2 consoles. Nintendo says the Switch 2 continues to outperform the original Nintendo Switch at the same point in its lifecycle, thanks in part to a steady release schedule of first-party games. Software continues to drive the platform’s momentum as well, with 58.17 million units sold. With more than 23 million Switch 2 consoles already in players’ hands and a packed software roadmap ahead, Nintendo appears well-positioned to carry that momentum through the rest of fiscal 2027.
