The University of Cape Town's (UCT) Poisons Information Centre has once again received a financial boost from Aspen Pharmacare, with a R1.4 million boost over 2026. In a recent visit to the center, Aspen Pharmacare's group senior executive Dr Stavros Nicolaou said Aspen remained "committed to this partnership and the public impact it delivers" in support of poisoning emergencies. We are very appreciative to Aspen Pharmacare for their longstanding support, which includes the PIH, bursaries and various other projects at UCT. This support enables us to continue to deliver social impact and highlights our strong partnerships with various stakeholders. The PIH provides an invaluable service to medical practitioners and the public and UCT is proud to be associated with this impactful initiative.
