Pocketpair Publishing will work with Karrot on marketing, quality assurance, and localization, while taking the lead on bringing the game to players across Asia, a region Karrot has said it would otherwise struggle to reach on its own.
John Buckley, Pocketpair's head of communications and publishing, described Clicky Islands as a mix of clicker, incremental, automation, and town-building elements, calling the result addictive.
The deal adds to a publishing slate that has grown steadily since Pocketpair began backing outside indie projects alongside its own development work on Palworld and marks another example of a larger studio using its resources to support a small independent team.
Combining clickers and town automationClicky Islands casts players as a governor appointed by the king to develop a procedurally generated island into a thriving settlement.
