Michigan State has now seen multiple former players hit the transfer portal after a Colorado judge ruled that recently-graduated seniors from the 2022 recruiting class are eligible for the upcoming season. The former Michigan State sixth man from the 2024-25 Big Ten title season has announced that he’s in the transfer portal and he’s exploring all of his fifth-year options. The Selection Committee seemingly likes putting Michigan State in the same bracket as Duke every single year but they also live for the storylines. Loyer played for Michigan State the year before and the Selection Committee liked the idea of pinning him against his former team in round one.
