Namibia is positioning itself to become a leader in green industrialisation by harnessing its exceptional solar and wind resources, vast biomass potential and growing green hydrogen sector. The Dâures Green Hydrogen Village and Hyphen Hydrogen Energy demonstrate two complementary approaches to green development. This creates a connection between renewable energy development, local agriculture and food security, demonstrating how green industrialisation can support multiple development priorities at the same time. Risk management must become a central part of Namibia’s green development strategy. The country’s green transition demonstrates that renewable energy, industrial development, environmental restoration and social inclusion do not have to be separate priorities.
