Assemblymember Ron Kim and the NYPD’s 109th Precinct hosted hundreds of students and parents at precinct headquarters for their annual backpack giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 6. “I am thrilled to be able to once again bring our community together for this now long-standing annual event,” Kim said. At the event, Kim was joined by 109th Precinct Commanding Officer Capt. Their hope is that the school supplies will inspire students in the upcoming school year. “For many years, the 109th Precinct and Assemblymember Ron Kim have stood shoulder-to-shoulder to support our neighborhood families,” said Chowdhury.
