Vic Cooper, the owner of The Shop @ Coo Corner, has been named as a finalist in the 2026 Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards for both the Unsung Hero of the Year award, and the business has been named as one of five finalists in the Retailer of the Year award. The gift shop, which opened six years ago, describes itself as an "emporium of delights", selling homeware, clothes, books, and pre-loved items. "At Coo Corner, we strive to be much more than a shop. "Whatever the outcome, being named a finalist in both categories is a real honour, and I'm incredibly grateful." 74 "outstanding" finalists have been named in this year's awards.
