Drugs arrest brings finances under spotlightThe property allegations have resurfaced as Tafirenyika remains embroiled in a separate criminal case. The development has, however, fuelled questions over whether the alleged second identity was ever used in business, banking or property transactions. Journalist and political commentator Gabriel Manyati similarly called for the alleged property portfolio to be subjected to documentary scrutiny. Manyati said any alleged properties, offshore accounts or other assets should be tested against documentary records rather than accepted on the strength of social media claims.
