In a Facebook statement, the council said: "A cleaner, more welcoming town centre starts with tackling issues like graffiti. "Our teams are regularly out removing graffiti from council-owned property, including these recent before-and-after examples." As part of The Big Town Centre Clean-Up, the council has contacted residential and commercial property owners who are responsible for removing graffiti from their buildings. The council's teams are undertaking further tasks throughout August, including power-washing public spaces and tackling town centre weeds. Members of the public are encouraged to use the 'Report It' feature on the council's website to report issues.
