The oversight unit did not respond to CCN’s request for comment about the report, which was obtained through a freedom-of-information application.
“Only 0.2% of reported MAiD cases (since 2018) involve serious compliance concerns which may have significant impact on the integrity of the MAiD process, appropriateness of care and/or public safety,” the ministry said.
