They may have been referring to the more extreme all-glass design that Apple already dropped. Earlier sources also suggested that Apple could extend the all-glass design to future iPhone Pro and Pro Max models. Instead, most recent rumors indicate that the glass-heavy redesign is already planned for next year’s iPhone Pro and Pro Max models.
